Mr. Johnse, the founder and managing director of the company, started his first garment manufacturing unit in 1976. Throughout this period, he manufactured all kinds of casual garments for men, women, and children, gaining a lot of technical experience in manufacturing processes and knowledge of machinery used in the industry. After a successful stint as a job worker, Mr. Johnse wanted to expand his business in the exporting sector, which is when he started Big Ben Creation, which manufactured and exported ready-made apparel.

The company started working with clients from the US, France, Belgium, and Germany over the years. In 1996, Mr. Johnse opened Eric Apparel Pvt Ltd. Since then, Eric Apparel has successfully delivered quality products to its clients, and the perseverance and zeal of the founder have taken the company to its position today. Today, Eric Apparel, directly and indirectly, employs approximately 800 employees and exports to clientele in the US, Europe, UAE, and Mexico.
